This is a new construction home designed for a young family who dreamed of raising their 2 boys in a rural community. They wanted a design which gave them a connection to nature with privacy yet open territorial views to the surrounding area. The land which they purchased was part of some old agriculture fields and farm land which were fairly flat. The site plan and storm water management was an integral part of the infrastructure designed and installed as part of the site preparation. The home design was thoughtfully considered so that it may blend in with the old farm houses and Agriculture buildings that surrounded the lot. Instead of a typical farm house design, our client wanted something a bit more eclectic, so we came to love the simple clean lines of a typical “out building” and farm sheds as inspiration. The Modern Farm House was born with great success and interest. Our clients and their happy family are settling into island life in their dream home.
